What is Home Staging? 3 Reasons to Have Your Home Staged Before Selling
Home staging is the act of preparing a private residence prior to listing it  for sale in the real estate marketplace. The goal of staging is to sell a home quickly, and for the most money possible by attracting the highest number of potential buyers. Staging focuses on improving a property to make it appeal to buyers by transforming it into a welcoming, appealing, and attractive product for sale.

Staging often raises the value of a property by way of reducing the home's flaws, depersonalizing, de-cluttering, cleaning, re-arranging, and landscaping. For vacant homes, rental furniture is used to create a living space the buyer could "see" themselves in. Properly executed staging leads the eye to attractive features while minimizing flaws.

1. Turbo Boost Sales Time
Experts all agree and studies show staged homes sell quicker than non-staged homes.   As much as 30-50% faster in most areas.  This is more important then most people realize, because the longer a home is on the market….the greater chance for a price reduction.

2. Gone In 60 Seconds…
Psychology experts have proven that people react based on emotion and then seek logic to back up the feeling.  From a real estate perspective, a buyer will make an initial reaction in less than a minute whether they like your home or not.  Then, after the potential buyer's initial decision has been made, they will either confirm that decision or rescind it in the next 6 to 20 minutes as they tour the property.  This is why proper staging is critical for any listing.

3. Show Me The Money!
The better a home shows - the higher it will sell for. Which means more money in your pocket. Non-staged homes are more likely to require price reductions in order to sell as opposed to staged homes, which are more likely to enjoy a number of offers.
